Greetings Mr. Cornwell: I just want to write you to thank you for what I consider to be some of the BEST books I have ever had the pleasure of reading in my entire life time. I have always been a history buff so to say, and I always like reading a fine book however one day, I was handed a book titled Emperor The Gates of Rome written by Conn Iggulden (A great read by the way) that I just tore right through, and that led to the second one (Im sure you are wondering where this is going but stay with me) titled Death Of Kings. So talking with a women here at work about the Emperor series she mentioned that her husband has a book that he would like me to read. So the next day she brought in The Last Kingdom and WOW!!!!!! I had found a new hero (even though he doesnt exist) named Uhtred of Babbenburg. This was about two months ago. Since then I have read the other two released for the Saxon Chronicles (and am anxiously awaiting the release of the fourth one, I had to buy LON in hard cover and Im glad I did), Redcoat, and I just ripped through the Archers Tale (I know you hate that name). Mr. Cornwell, I have read hundreds of books in my short life (Im 41 years) and I have never read anything that thrilled me and excited me like that book Archers Tale (Not to take anything away from the Saxon Chronicles, I love those books too). It goes down on my NUMBER 1 ALL TIME EVER READ BOOK!!! The battles and historical facts were well researched. The story was gripping and exciting. The life you brought to the characters and the battles is vivid. I can see the battles and action happening as I read. I will be getting Vagabond in two days and I cant wait to read that one. So if youre wondering what the point of all this is, I have a manuscript I would like you to read&.. HA HA, Just kidding. No, the reason Im sending you this is to let you know I have a new favorite author and to THANK YOU for writing some of finest stories I have ever read. Thank you and please keep up the good work. Im sure youre a busy man and I dont want to keep you from youre important work but I just had to write and thank you for the hard work. I REALLY, REALLY APPRICATE it. Best Regards Peter McCutcheon
