I had been trying for some time to find The Arthurian Legend in a modern form that I could actually read. Then a friend of mine – an avid Sharpe fan – told me about the Warlord Chronicles. I’ve almost finished Enemy of god and can’t wait to start Excalibur. Thank you so much – I’m a pretty gnarled old guy but the Tristan and Iseult story brought a right lump to the throat and mistake.
