Just to say I very much enjoy the ‘rattling good yarn’ quality of your work, but particularly admire the way in which you establish a credible framework to explain the motivation behind the behaviour of the characters/groups/societies we meet in your novels. This is especially impressive in something like the saxon stories where it can be so difficult to understand or even postulate a coherent rationale for behaviours of a society so distant (in both time & culture) from our own.
