Mr. Cornwell, This is just a quick post about some criticism you’ve recieved about using “in a heartbeat.” I’ve seen at least two readers suggest this, but I’ve never really noticed any overuse in my reading and rereading of your novels. In all honesty, I think you are one of the last authors who has to worry about stylistic problems- your narrative style is just right to me.
