To Mr. Cornwell, It is 6:30 in the morning and I just finished reading “the Last Kingdom.” I have never read your books before, but never in anything I’ve read before have I been so enthralled as I have with “Last Kingdom” (and I read a lot). Never have I have read a history book so well-written. I have always admired the story of Alfred the great, but your story of Uthred’s POV has genuinely touched me. The only complaints I have are that thanks to this great novel I have had little sleep in the past two days and I have a newly discoverd love for ale on tap and salted pork. Please do not be offended; its just that the scenes with Viking feasts were so well described. I am now starting with the Winter King, and hopefully it is as exciting as Uhtred’s story. I never write to authors. But like I’ve said already, the last few hours reading have been amazing. Thank you very much. Your hard work has truly been appreciated. Juan Enriquez
