Dear Mr. Cornwell I have to begin by saying that my father always encouraged me to read. I remember when I was tweleve he put me in a small bookstore and said I was not leaving untill I found something to read. It was magic when I found Sharpe’s Rifles sitting right there in front of my eyes. The photo of gold coins and a musket caught my eye… now seven years later I find myself far away from home on the other side of the world here in Taji Iraq, just on the outskirts of Baghdad still bleeding dry the words inside each and everyone of your novels. My deployment is a long one, and every book I read and re-read from each and every one of your series’ passes the time very fast. All I want to say is THANK YOU for constantly writing endless titles. May the great books never end. -Private Brian Obstbaum 4th Infantry Divison Taji Iraq
