Mr. Cornwell — I hardly know how to begin thanking you for your wonderful Arthur books. On your website you say they are the books you are most proud of, and truly, you deserve to be. I am a (currently unpublished) writer, and find myself SO impressed by the ‘density’ of your story — by which I mean, the incredibly detailed, layered, populated, woven tapestry that you create, and your characters, who seem to live and breathe! I am a later-comer to your works (sorry!), never having been a reader of historicals, although long urged to by my brothers, who are longtime fans.
