Dear Mr. Cornwell, Please add me to the league of your faithful followers. In high school, 45+ years ago, I was an avid reader but a career and “life” steered me in other directions and my reading habit all but disappeared. About two and a half years ago a co-worker asked me one day if I was a reader. I told him, “Yes, a long time ago.” He answered that by handing me a book and suggesting I might enjoy reading it. I did, and the dam broke. I am now retired and read voraciously, around 80 books in the last two years. A few months ago I happened to pick up “The Archer.” Now here I must interject that as a young boy I had the good fortune to have a Boy Scout leader who was an accomplished Archer and introduced all of us in the Troop to long bows and crossbows. I was not impressed by the crossbow but became quite the marksman with the long bow. It won’t be hard then to see how my fancy was captured by Thomas of Hookton! I have also read “The Vagabond” and “Heretic.” I believe the “Grail Quest” series will long remain at the top of my list of favorites and just could not resist the urge to tell you how much I enjoyed the books and appreciate not only your writing of them but the research that went into each of them. I have also read a couple of your works involving sailing yachts, “Scoundrel” and “Stormchild” and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. I live in Southern Spain so finding books in English is a bit of a challenge but I have a regular route I make frequently check their limited stock of English books. You may be assured, whenever I see your name, there is no hesitation, the book goes into my shopping cart. Thank you so much for sharing your talent for great yarns and for the hours of pleasure you provide. Forrest Gross
