Dear Mr Cornwell, Thank you so much for the reading pleasure you’ve given me and countless others over the years. I find that even after reading and re-reading the Sharpe novels again and again, they still paint the same vivid pictures they always did, and I truly hope that one day I shall be able to visit some of the places you describe so beautifully in your books. My fifteen year old son has recently started reading the Sharpe series, so another flame is kindled! May I also add my voice to the many, I’m sure, who have requested that you write a sequel to ‘Gallows Thief’? The adventures of Capt. Sandman were a wonderful tonic for a bored convalescant with a leg full of metal following a motorcycle accident. I nearly forgot I was in hospital! Regards, Keith Bennett, Stoke On Trent
