Greetings, Mr Cornwell, I’m a very big fan of your writing, though it’d be a lie to say that I’ve read all of your books. In fact, I have read the Grail Quest trilogy and the Warlord books, as well as The Last Kingdom (which I enjoyed immensly due to a certain loyalty to the topic of Vikings). I’ve just started to read the Sharpe series in the right order – and obviously I have a lot of catching up to do! The best part about that, though, is that it won’t take long – your novels have a habit of hypnotising me, thus I can’t put them down until dawn. I look forward to the next book in your Viking series (if that’s the correct term) and all other future works. I must admit your knowledge of the era is astounding, and equally, if not more so in the Napoleonic era, as proven on the documentary series “Sharpe’s War.” I have always enjoyed history, and I find that your books do a great job of teaching one about the era, but at the same time offering a brilliant story. Please keep up the good work! P.S. Thanks for those writing tips, they’ve been a big help in getting me back into writing stories myself. Take care, David Gibson
