Hi Bernard – I just finnished “Heretic” and enjoyed it immensely like I have all your other books I have read (the Sharpe series mostly). You are exceptionally good at combining the elements of history, characterization, plot, and the everyday details of medieval life into a fascinating story – I’m pretty sure life in those days was close to the way you have described it.
