Dear Mr Cornwell. I first wrote to you in October last year, after having read just 4 Sharpe books. I have now read all of them except Sharpe’s Escape, which I am half way through, and Sharpe’s Trafalgar, which has just arrived from Amazon. In the last 4 months I have done little or no cooking, gardening, cleaning, writing, visiting, running or anything else that can’t be done with a book in one hand! I have had the most fabulous time slacking off and reading, and you are entirely to blame!! In about 2 weeks’ time I will have to face reality and pick up the forgotten threads of my mundane life once more, while I await the publication of your next Sharpe book. Thank you! Thank you!!
