Dear Mr. Cornwell. With regard to the recent article in the Boston Globe please rest assured you are appreciated here in Haverhill, MA in Essex County. I would have recognized you were I to go to the Cape. My uncle Tom Haley was a builder in Chatham a long time ago. He used to have a little getaway cottage on Nauset before Kennedy made it a Nat’l Seashore Park. In any event I’ve always liked Historical Novels and used to read Thomas B Costain in the sixties. I m reading your Sharpe Novels in chronological order or at least trying to. They have sharpened an interest in the era and I am also reading about Nelson as well. I have to I’m an ex Navy man. I hope you are enjoying the cigar I’m jealous. I also enjoy a good cigar however have had to quit. I can’t seem to smoke just one. Once I get that nicotine in me…. I hope that is a nice Dominican.
