I have just fnished The Last Kingdom, and I just wanted to tell you what a good read it was, I live in East Anglia and some of the local areas are full of Danish invader history, what a bloodthisty lot they were. I have also done some research on King Alfred, and Edmund, fascinating stuff. I look forward to the next edition of Uhtred’s life, and him being so young, you have got a whole lifetime to write about. I have read all of your books to date, and I never thought that you would surpass the Sharpe stories, but I think you have this time, keep it up Bernard, already I am impatient for the next adventure.
