As a great fan haven’t yet read the Arthurian series as Sharpe et al and life delaying the pleasure. Everyone in Shropshire knows that Arthur was one of the last Romano/Celtic Kings of Powys whose Camelot was Wroxeter, the only functioning Roman civil town structure left in Arthurian times after the Saxons came from the east and took the other Roman towns (such as London etc.). He is buried not far from Shrewsbury where you can see his grave to this day (well its it’s a lump in the churchyard) When I read your Arthurian series I am sure I will be charmed by them even if they are not set in the right place. But I might be back with that cold rage Sharpe gets in battle and write all sorts of stuff about Arthur when I have read it. Sharpe is a great hero, when I went to India a long time ago I got dysentary, but Sharpe’s bowels, as all his organs, are a marvel. Tim Browning
