Never before has a book (or books) prompted me to find a way of contacting the author to thank him/her. I am worried about blowing too much smoke up your ass as I am sure you get a lot of complements, but I thoroughly enjoyed The Arthur Books. I am a non-practicing baptised-agnostic-bordering-on-pagan (obviously without the whole sacrificial aspect) from Dyfed, Wales and now, like you, I live here in the US. I cannot begin to imagine the huge amount of research you must have put in to create the Britain depicted in these novels. As a teenager, I had seen ITV’s adaptations of some of the Sharpe novels. Are there any such plans for The Arthur novels? Or even better, plans for a big screen adaptation? With the pending opening of the new Arthur movie starring Clive Owen, I can only hope that they strayed as far from the tired Round Table stories as they say they have. Writing this, I have still to finish The Enemy of God (I just got to the part where Galahd shows up at Glevum with Mordred). I can’t wait to pick up the book again. I am studying screenwriting and can only hope that I create characters half as interesting and complex as you do. Your use of conflicts to hinder goals is very exciting. Anyway, I think that’s enough verbal diarrhea for one day (I think I failed miserably in my attempt not to sound too much like a total ass kisser). Again, thank you for your hard work and please let me know of any plans to televise the Arthur books. I would like to ask more about the feedback/critisism you got from Christians and pagans alike (as well as historians), but understand you are very busy. Thanks Barry
