Dear Mr. Cornwell, I have been a big fan of yours since I first read “Redcoat” as an 8th grader in the late 90’s. I loved the Arthur series and read “Rebel” shortly after reading “Redcoat”. At the time I read “Rebel”, I hadn’t read any of the Sharpe series, which I finished last month and decided to finish the Starbuck series as well. Upon re-reading the book, I was pleased to discover who I am assuming is Sharpe’s son in Colonel Lassan. Is there any chance of us seeing a series based on the exploits of the younger Colonel Lassan during the Crimean War? It is such a fascinating and little known time in world history, and I was just wondering if we would be seeing any works based off of this story line.
Also, is the Reverend MacTeauge referenced by General Nain in one of the later books in the Sharpe series the same Reverend Macteauge from “Redcoat”? Thank you for your time, I apologize that my email was so long, and thank you for teaching me far more about the World’s history then I was ever able to learn in all of my years of formal education Sincerely, Luke Devine
