Dear Bernard I was wondering if Rider Sandman’s penchant for cricket was a love you shared? I really enjoy the way you manage to intersperse your novels with interesting side stories unrelated to the plot such as the move from underarm bowling to overarm in the instance of cricket. One final question, with the tactical nous you impart on your various protagonists, would you back yourself to lead a foraging party / brigade / regiment / entire army in any war from any time? I imagine who ever you lead, they would be confident they were in good hands! Keep up the good work!
