Hi Bernard, I have just started reading The Fort and a name caught my eye – Lieutenant Campbell. It occurred to me that this book is set in 1779 and that means this could easily be the same Captain Campbell who performs many heroic acts in the Indian Sharpe novels, is this the case? And if so did you deliberately describe him as nervous in The Fort as a small irony of his later glorious self? Please keep writing its a pleasure reading! Corey Lees
