Mr. Cornwell, I first stumbled across your work years ago when I was reading everything I could get my hands on regarding King Arthur. Although I confess that at the time I marked the story much more than the author. A couple years back my brother in law got me started on the Saxon Stories and I have been hooked ever since. I haven’t yet delved into the Starbuck or Sharpe stories but just about everything else in on my shelves. Most read more than once. Thank you for the hours of entertainment and joy you given me! I understand you have sharp,no pun intended, feelings about the puritans but I was wondering where you stood on Christianity or religion in general? Your characters seem more often opposed to the christian church but sometimes give grudgingly back. No attempt to proselytize here, just curious. On a different note, I teach at a speaking conference several times a year and one of the pieces I use in my sessions is the St Crispin’s day speech from Henry V.
