Just an idea I thought I’d throw out to you for a possible future series. Would you consider a character set in the early 17th century as a Zaporozhian Cossack. I realize that you have previously stayed near to your Anglo-Saxon roots for characters & their back grounds, but the Ukrainian Cossacks of the late 1500’s and early 1600’s are a near perfect background for a morally ambivalent yet endearing character with a multitude of potential allies and foes. (Turks, Tartars, Russians, Mongols, Persians, Poles, Lithuanians, Germans, and even Swedes!) I’ve never had the discipline to write myself but thought the concept interesting so thought I’d throw it out to you as you are far and away my favorite author.
