I’ve read and re-read your Sharpe books – great adventures! In fact they’ve inspired me to write a time-slip adventure of a hero very much like Sharpe, except that my man is an SAS trooper fighting in Afghanistan who gets blown back to Africa of 1828 engaged in battle with the Zulu king Shaka and allied to an African Queen, Mantatisi – who did exist. That book is now on Kindle, title ‘Kingsy & The African Queen’ under my pen name ‘Joe Emms’. I’m now working on the next Kingsy adventure – but all thanks to you for being the spur to prick my intent. PS Your Saxon adventures are first class too!
