I’ve read, and loved, your books for many years, although I cannot say I’ve read every single one. I’m of Scot’s descent – I know, most say Doherty is Irish but my GPa, whose birth record surname was Docherty, told me that we were descended from the Scots for whom many of the things in Northern Scotland, such as Loch (Lake) Dochertie and River Dochart are named. Since I’m of that descendance I’ve always thought you could do such an amazing job writing the Viking stories, especially as they affected the British Isles. I understand DNA analysis shows that Somerled was even of Viking descent, although he did not know that – many of the Scottish clans like to claim their descent from him.
