Please don’t feel you need to reply. I just wanted to tell you that I finished The Fort this morning and I enjoyed it very much. This is the first time i have read one of your books and it wont be the last. I usually read non-fiction but your historical fiction is very satisfying. It is a bit disappointing to discover the truth about one of America’s icons….too bad Longfellow didn’t begin, “Listen to my story of the fabulous cause….”. Anyway, just to let you know I thought it was a wonderful read. Brian
