Mr. Cornwell, I discovered your work, thus far the Saxon Stories, after reading your exchange w/ George R.R. Martin. What a great idea that was to publish! I’m very much enjoying reading the imagined interactions between your kinsman Uhtred and mine, King Alfred. (from an illegitimate and distaff descent, more’s the pity… I had to pay to tour Westminster, unlike my more “connected” cousin’s recent and world-famous appearance there).
