Dear Bernard, Just a couple of things to ask you. Have you every had the inclination to move right off track with your work and write something that we wouldn’t expect from you such as a children’s story or a horror/fantasy?

Secondly, I know Sharpe is to return in the future but will there ever be any more of the short stories like Skirmish and Christmas? Once again I have to thank you for all your work over the years and look fwd to many more. I just have to keep Mrs McC away from all your hard and softbacks at the moment as she is under the impression I don’t need them anymore as I have them all on Kindle! She just doesn’t understand!
