I finally found your The Winter King novel and I’m reading it everywhere! I’m a lover of Arthurian Legend and I believe he really lived or there was a person who lived like Arthur.And I liked your characterization of people like Lancelot as a rude,spoiled prince,Owain as a barbarian like marauder. (I hope I don’t give any spoiler :)
When I was reading your novel,some questions appeared in my mind.
Is Ynys Wydryn the real Avalon? I know this place is Glastonbury now, but were Brittons really think there as a magical place? I asked you because I thought you did some research before writing.
Actually I have many,many questions but I can’t remember all of them :) One of my dreams was a journey to Arthurian places such as Glastonbury,Tintagel Castle etc. and your novels been a very good source for my plans.
And where is Caer Cadarn? I thought this place is Camelot, but Derfel said in a chapter Camelot was Dumnonia.
