Dear Mr Cornwell,I have just finished reading The Warlord Chronicles again for the second or third time and have decided it is by far my favourite series of your books,or any books for that matter. These books particually have everything you could ever wish for in a story,love,war,the gods +spread of christianity, wit, friendship, oaths, past,present,future,etc,etc,etc i could go on all day.
I find the dark age period of british history very appealing as so little is known of the time and if i could ever wish to discover what happened in this time I would hope it would be similar to your story told of things with the same characters.
Bearing all this in mind, I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a story set as the Romans were leaving Britain or as they arrived (with their gods and great ideas) or maybe even in-between the warlord chronicles and the saxon stories ?

I always wonder what would have happened if the Romans had let a small independant army be left in Britain which supported itself rather than withdrawing all their men to fight and finish with the western empires eventual defeat. Just a thought….
