I have reactivated my interest in geneology after a 10 years hiatis and what a difference the internet has made since then. I have confirmed my links to the Christian family of the Isle of Man and they connected to the Neville family of Northumberland and eventually to Aeldgyth and much to my suprise Uhtred, Earl of Northumberland. I’m sure this may be the Uhtred of the Saxon series. Only a few weeks earlier I had read the 3rd of the saxon series and read the note about your link with the real Uhtred. Just ordered the last two books in the series, can’t wait. I’m a New Zealander , spent 14 years in the RNZN mainly in the Far East and was at the Mururoa French bomb test in 1973. Also spent a year  in 1970 training at HMS Collingwood in Hampshire.  Would love to come to England again but to the England I knew in 1970?  Have also found direct Link ancestors who were at Trafalgar and Waterloo. So all these years I have been reading history and quite often have been reading about my ancesters. Well thank you for some very entertaining reading over the past years, normally only read historical fiction, very interested in anything Roman, my favourite roman is Cornelius Sula, what a life that man had.
