I am a huge fan. You are in fact my 2nd favorite favorite writer ( next to old TOM Mallory)   and truth be told you are a better writer. I’m just a loyalist  So my question is one I’m sure you have gotten a lot , I just haven’t found the answer yet. With succes of other fantasy and historical fiction novels being turned into shows and movies , are there any plans to put any more of your novels onto the Big Screen or perhaps as a HBO/ showtime type of series?   I ask because I find some of the others enjoyable ( such as Mr. martins Game of thrones) , But in truth I feel that your writing is superior , and your novels are far more suited to be made into shows. ( and yes THAT is a compliment , not saying your writing is simple!).  I have watched the Sharpe series with Sean Bean and its marvelous! But oh how I would love to see the warlord chronicles or the saxon tales on television or as a few feature films!
2nd question: and likely this has been asked and answered so I aopologize for NOT knowing already , Which character of that you have created would you say is your ” favorite’.Knowing that that is sort of a silly question because I’m sure you love all the characters you have created I wanted to ask it a different way. Of all the characters which would YOU personally MOST like to be if the given the chance? if you could slip into history and take the role of any of them and become that character?

Lastly I wonder if you have ever thought of doing a novel or perhaps NOVELS , about Sir John Hawkwood or Perhaps William Marshal? :) Just wondering . William Marshal is pretty much a badass . and so is Hawkwood. I would love to see YOU put your distinctive style into weaving a tale about either of them  Thanks for the consideration and good luck with all  your endeavors,

Steven Fontaine
