I have just finished reading your sharpe series and i would like to say i thoroughly enjoy reading them. I am doing a paper on the british empire and its involvement in the napoleonic wars, I am more focusing their involvement in portugal  because I had ancestor in a light calvary unit which arrived with Sir Auther Wellsey at Maceira Bay during the liberation/invasion of portugal which is where some of sharpe’s adventures are set, I was hoping you could help me with websites with the military plans of the british army and websites which provide more detailed information about the campaign and the push into france as my ancestors journal only gives details of what he saw there not what his objectives were?
