Glad to hear that Thomas of Hookton is returning after a hiatus of nine years! I was just wondering why the title of the new book is the year it is set, when all of your other books have more descriptive titles?
I have just re read the Grail Quest books and at one point Thomas reflects on how he doesn’t think he is a bad man; how do you make all your protagonists into such loveable rogues, despite the fact they rape murder and pillage as much as the bad guys? Or is it all a matter of where you’re standing? Just intrigued as to the mechanics behind the writing and how much you think about it.
Another question – given that your subject matter is warfare I can understand that female protagonists might not neccesarily spring to mind most often, but are there any plans for another heroine a la A Crowning Mercy, but more, ahem, “kick ass”? Also just wanted to say that I really appreciate that you take the time to answer your readers’ queries when you doubtless have many other demands on
your time, it makes the whole experience so much more interactive, so thank you :)
