Hello Mr Cornwell, I am currently reading ‘The Fort’, another masterpiece, however there is one thing that I am a little confused with. You refer to the British Marines as Royal Marines, however they didn’t get that title until 1802. Have you done this for ease of the reader as Royal Marines is a household name and people can differentiate between British and Colonial Marines?
