May I start by saying that over the last two years I have become  an avid reader of your books and have already devoured nine of them to date. Your attention to detail and ability  to immerse the reader into a part of history is without peer in my view.

Because of my interest in your books, I felt compelled to write to you directly on the off chance that you might have a position on my point. This being the unusual pricing protocols being used by Amazon with the electronic format of your latest book (yours isn’t the only one it would seem). As an avid Kindle reader due to travelling extensively with work, I’m at a loss to understand why Amazon are charging a higher rate for 1356 by Kindle download than the printed version (with all associated costs of producing and delivering a hard back book)? I notice other fans of your work have made comments on the Amazon purchase page for the book which I have actually opted to order from them as a hardback. I would wholly understand Amazon pricing new work at the same price across all formats due to the buzz and demand. However, higher pricing of Kindle versions might actually dissuade the casual reader from buying the book or in fact the avid fan waiting a few months until the e-book
equalises. Either way I felt it worth a few moments of my time to raise the point to you.

Thank you for taking the time in reading this note and if you do happen to respond, I would dearly like to know whether you intend to return to the Saxon Stories which I found utterly compelling reading.

Hi, I’ve read all your books to date, the last being The Fort. I am always waiting for the next,but having converted to Kindle format 18 months ago I am upset that the Kindle version of 1356 is considerably more expensive than the paper version. Amazon say that the price is set by the author,can I ask you to explain the higher price?
(The reason for buying my wife and myself Kindles is we fly abroad and the kindle saves so much weight.)
