I have contacted you before but that was on the subject of writing. This time I have a question on the Sharpe series, well on Sharpe’s Devil, which I just finished reading.

To start off I understand that it was wrote before Sharpe’s Trafalgar, but in Sharpe’s Devil it says it’s his first sea battle. Now I was wondering how come it has never been updated?  I know it is only one line, and to be honest the only error I have ever spotted in any of your books, so it just surprised me it was left in

Also it got me thinking who Sharpe’s father could be. Now as a good twist it crossed my mind that maybe he is a son of a Gentleman, maybe a Lord, seen as his mother was a prostitute. I know it is a long shot, but you never know without asking.
