I noticed that one of your readers/fans  posted a question concerning the History Channel’s production of “The Vikings”, which begins 3/3/13 in the US. They are also producing a series titled “The Bible”, which begins on the same date. I just couldn’t help but notice the irony concerning the two subjects as they relate to the Anglo-Saxon period. While “The Vikings” may be must see tv for Uhtred (if he were around to watch), I can imagine he would shudder at the thought of a Biblical television event! Beocca, Willibald, Pyrlig and Alfred, on the other hand, would be delighted!
