Read epic fantasy genre as a kid but over the last couple decades switched to more “academic” material. Big ancient history fan and was looking for historical fiction series set around the the dark ages….. and…. found your saxon series! Glad I did, most enthralling books I’ve ever read, love them and the character of Uhtred.
