Hi Bernard,
I have just finished re-reading the four books in the Starbuck Chronicles which left off at the battle of Antietam and wondered if you had plans to continue the novels to cover the remainder of the American civil war. I’ve read all of your books and enjoyed both the story and the factual scenarios behind them which has greatly increased my knowledge of the times during which they were set. Please keep up the good work and thanks for all the enjoyable hours of reading you have given me over the years.
Yours truly

I was wondering what route you planned to take Starbuck on when you resume his story. I’d guess he’d go through Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Overland Campaign, the battles around Petersburg and finally the retreat to Appommottax. Was there anything else you were planning on including or maybe leaving out?
I’ve also noticed the four existing books have just been reissued in new editions. (With Americanised spelling. Was it always like that and I didn’t notice?) Are you aware of this and if so is there a reason? (Hoping it’s a sign Burnside will soon be making his attempt to attack Lee…)
Yours, Michael B
