Bernard,
I have been a fan for decades.  I just finished Stonehenge.  You likely know this but there were, as I was told, no lintels in place during WW2.  I was told my second wife’s father, Ormerod, used a military crane after the war to remount the one or two that are in place today — it has been 20 years since I visited the site and I forget how many are in place. I was awed by Stonehenge and was one of the last few common folk allowed to walk among the stones. Thank you for the story.
