Dear Mr. Cornwell…
Just completed The Pagan Lord and loved it. You are by far my favorite author and I am an avid reader of many genres of literature. You are everything a writer should be…intelligent, witty, descriptive, and a great teller of tales. Your protagonists are flawed but honorable…vulnerable but strong. When Uhtred turned in the shield wall and told AEthelflaed “I love you”…You made me cry although I am certain Uhtred would have greatly disapproved of my reaction.
The last chapter of The Pagan Lord was perfect and very similar but in of different context of something I had just written. I congratulate you for another suburb novel and am looking forward to your next tale. One more comment I love Sharpe and hope you do not leave him sitting on that rock too much longer.
