I would like to preface this by saying that I have been an enormous fan of your work ever since I read Harlequin. Your “Saxon Stories” have had me very interested in the Danish and Norse culture of the time, and my continued readings have giving rise to an idea that continues to nag me. Could the idea of Valhalla as a “warrior’s heaven” have given rise to the idea of the vikings as berserkers? The idea of noble death in battle doesn’t seem to be as prevalent among Christians of the time.
