1356 is the first of your books that I have read. I really enjoyed it and will almost certainly read others. But…I do think it would have been better, and clearer for the uninitiated, if the cover etc for 1356 had said something about a link to the Grail series, or at least a spoiler-alert. I understand that 1356 is not a continuation of that series as such, but the Thomas of Hookton character is of course common, and integral, to both that series and 1356. And now I’ve read 1356 first, I know a bit about what happens in the Grail series (chiefly the fate of the Grail…!). If I’d known this, I would probably have read Harlequin first. A wee note on the cover of 1356 wouldn’t have hurt…!
