After around forty years without reading anything more than a car manual or a motoring magazine I picked up at random a couple of the Sharpe series and I enjoyed every bit of them.     So, it was back to the back to the beginning and now I am about to start on Waterloo and then on to the Devil.

The whole series is fascinating and apart from Sharpe himself,  two characters really stick out,   Obidaiah and William Fredrickson.   You really painted an image with those two beauties.

Trouble is, what on earth am I going to read after I have finished the series.
