I love your Saxon series, as I am descended from Alfred the Great.  However, today I surprisingly traced back to Uhtred of Bamburgh.  I loved the character and now have a connection.  Your books–as I have read others–have provided me with many hours of entertainment and education. I am fascinated to read about how ancestors of mine may have lived. Thank you!
