Dear Bernard,

with a lot of pleasure I read the first book of you named the Heidenfürst.–By accident I have got an edition in German language.–As usual this two languages English and German don’t fit together. All ways I thought about it and found the risen.–As our languages are out of one fountain the old Saxon and our family is Germanic but not high German .- All of it sounds cold and unreflected.–So in the future I will try to get hold of the English edition and transfer it in my head into “low German”.A language more near to English.–As our poet Rudolph Kienau ones said:” In our native tong we are able to expres our happiness and sorrow  much better then in high German” an unnatual and cold voice.–

Best regards from Hamburg and Galati / Roumania la multi ani Klaus
