Dear Bernard,

I write in response George Eckrich’s comments of January 15, 2015.

In England, poppies do flower in summer! And while the beaver, just like the wolf may be viewed as iconic to North America, there are in fact Eurasion versions of both animals, Both animals were present in Britain at the time of the Arthur legend, dying out sometime in the 15th century. In fact In 2001, the Kent Wildlife Trust with the Wildwood Trust and Natural England re-introduced two families of Eurasian beaver from Norway to manage a wetland nature reserve.

Best Regards,

Martin (originally a Wessex boy – now resident in BC, Canada)
