Mr Cornwell,

I will keep my praise brief, I know you receive a lot of it.  I will leave it as saying that your books have gotten me to start reading again and have opened up the entire historical fiction genre to me.  I started reading Last Kingdom after completing George RR Martin’s “Game of Thrones” books and was instantly hooked.

This past summer right before a much needed vacation, I was fortunate enough to find two of your books, Harlequin and Copperhead, at a local used paperback book store.  I have yet to start the grail series (the last of your series I need to tackle) and was had just completed “Rebel”, so I brought Copperhead on vacation with me.  Well, what a wonderful surprise was in store for me, for when I opened it I found your signature inside!  It was a true thrill for me.  This would be a good time for me to ask if/when the Starbuck series will continue, but I will resist the urge.  However, having visited the Gettysburg battle field many times in my life, it would be amazing to read about Nathaniel’s experiences there (assuming me makes it that far).

Thanks for writing.  I look forward to losing myself in history once again with your next book.
