Dear Mr. Cornwell,

I just wanted to thank you for many hours of enjoyment from your books. Audible recommended The Saxon Chronicles and I loved Uhtred’s adventures from the start. I listened to them multiple times on the daily commute. From there on I researched your other works and it was your sailing adventures (brillianty read by David Case) which reminded me how wonderful sailing is. I sailed with my father as a child but have lived far away from the sea in southern Germany for 20 years now with only one sailing day a year on my father’s Souutherly 115. After listening to your sailors’ adventures in Stormchild, Wildtrack etc. I have now bought myself a Heron dinghy to at least sail on local lakes for starters. The dinghy’s given me a new lease of life – thanks for that! Love the characters, wonderful chaps all of them!

Best regards,

Barry Hill

PS: Maybe you can convince audible to stock your sailing adventures read by David Case – I have them all now but spent months sourcing them as cassettes off ebay, Wildtrack from the other side of the world!
