Dear Bernard

I have been an avid reader of your books and own a copy of every book you have had published.

Your historic novels are the best I have found, and are difficult to put down once you have started. Your ability to tell a tale is extraordinary, and I will always be in the queue every time a new Bernard Cornwell novel is published.

However, having spent a whopping £25.00 to buy Waterloo, I can honestly say it is the worst book you have written. It was only too easy to put down and has taken me months to complete instead of the normal days or even day.

I am not saying this to be rude, but please, please utilise your incredible talents on producing what you do best. If you wrote one a month it wouldn’t be enough for me, so please don’t waste that talent on something of this kind.

One of your greatest fans.

Best regards

Keith
