Dear Sir, I am reading ‘The Fort’ at the moment and on page 122 (hard back) Brigadier McLean said ‘…. that Sir Walter Raleigh played bowls as the Armada approached.’ Is this deliberate to make McLean look as he didn’t know his history or a mistake?
